EDAPHI-MHH. Operational hydrological models based on Hec software
Hydrological forecasting requires the use of models in a very special mode, such as operational in real time.
It requires a) the capacity to apply data filters, b) the ability to work with missing data, c) to facilitate parameter changes quickly, or d) automatic calibration utilities.
EDAPHI has been built on the consideration of these and other requirements, and has served to generate forecasting models such as MHH, which relies on HEC-HMS and HEC-DSSVue applications (http://www.hec.usace.army.mil/software).
EDAPHI-MHH used in operational mode - real time
The EDAPHI-MHH module performs hydrological calculations in real time with results of levels and flows, allowing the consideration and management of multiple scenarios, which facilitates a non-deterministic approach, such as the one based on inputs related to probability of occurrence
EDAPHI-MHH used in study mode
In addition to be used for real-time hydrological forecasting (operational mode - real time), EDAPHI-MHH can be used in study mode, simulating scenarios without consideration of operational phases or distinction of future or past time.
